Well, for my wife and my anniversary, we took the limo out tonight. I know that sounds corny considering I own it, but my wife wanted to. I got Darrell to drive it, and you know, even owning it, detailing it, driving it, etc. It was still very enjoyable riding around just like a customer. Would I pay 70 bucks an hour....probably not...but suprisingly enough Darrell handed out a bushel of business cards! Hope everyone is keeping those wheels rolling. Later

That brings up a question. Was it one of your staff that drove you? If they were on the payroll did you tip them?

I've often wondered if I really need to tip my staff when they are driving the owner. For my guys that are guaranteed 40 hours and do not have a run scheduled I would think no tip. But for the guys that work only when they have a run I feel like maybe I should. But I don't really know.

Yeah its one of my drivers. He refused gratuity, even though i offered. Its was a gift. No big deal. I would have driven for him.

If you had someone full time on payroll I guess it would depend on what you were paying them. I mean the only difference between you and a customer is that you own the vehicle. If you are a generous boss, I wouldn't think its a problem.

But really I wonder if it should matter...full or part time they're still employees the same. Sometimes the part timers are the harder workers, because you don't see them all the time.
